What we do
Advancing Teacher Development Across South Asia
We design and deliver high-quality training programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and values of teachers and teacher educators. Our focus is on developing competent, ethical, and reflective practitioners equipped to meet the demands of 21st-century education, including digital pedagogy, inclusive practices, and student-centered learning.
We actively promote a culture of research-informed teaching by organizing symposiums, workshops, and collaborative research initiatives. These platforms allow educators, researchers, and policymakers across South Asia to share best practices, publish scholarly work, and engage in evidence-based dialogue that informs policy and improves educational outcomes.
SACTD serves as a regional hub for fostering partnerships among teacher education institutions, ministries of education, and international organizations. By supporting policy development, curriculum reform, and leadership training, we help build coherent and sustainable systems for teacher education across South Asia.
